How to use scripts in VR with the Handy and Oculus Quest 2 or Meta Quest 3

The VR player that we recommend using is Heresphere, so your first step is going to be downloading the Heresphere player. To connect the fun scripts to the Handy, you will need to have first set up the HereSphere VR Video Player. If you need a recap on how to do that we recommend that you take a look atour Heresphere setup guide.

Handy Guide 1: How to Use the Handy with Heresphere Streaming

  1. The first step is to sideload HereSphere to your Quest. We recommend watching a simple YouTube video explainer on how to do this if you don’t know how..
  2. Once you download HereSphere, select “User Settings”.
  3. Type in your Handy connection key, and click the toggle to make sure it’s connected. If it connects successfully, you’ll see a “Connected” message.
  4. Choose a video that has an existing funscript uploaded. Handy will start moving in sync with the video! Voila. It’s as easy as that.

Handy Guide 2: How to Use Funscripts with a Handy & Local Files

  1. The first step is to sideload HereSphere to your Quest. We recommend watching a simple YouTube video explainer on how to do this if you don’t know how.
  2. Once that’s downloaded, place your videos and scripts in the same folder on the headset. Make sure the files have the same name as in the example below.
  3. Open HereSphere, and select “User Settings”.
  4. Type in your Handy connection key, and click the toggle to make sure it’s connected. If it connects successfully, you’ll see a “Connected” message.

  4. To set up an SMB server, follow the steps laid out in this Microsoft guide. You will have to create credentials for the server. Make a note of, or copy the IP and credentials to use later.
  5. While your PC is running, open up HereSphere on your Meta Quest 3. Then go to “SMB Network Shares".
  6. Type in your Windows credentials and IP from step 4.
